Governor Radda Swears In Two New Sharia Court Kadis, Urges Justice and Fairness
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in two new Kadis of the state's Upper Sharia Court, urging them to uphold justice with integrity, fairness, and the fear of Allah.
The newly appointed Kadis are Ibrahim Abdullahi Yakubu Dandume and Bala Salisu Daura. Their appointments were recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC) and approved by the governor.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda made the remarks during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Katsina.
The governor described the oath of office as a sacred trust before God and humanity, stressing that the fair administration of justice is essential for peace, stability, and social harmony. He said the appointments would strengthen the state's judiciary and enhance the delivery of timely, impartial, and effective justice.
Governor Radda also commended the Katsina State Judiciary for its commitment to justice and assured judicial officers of his administration's continued support.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Faruk Lawal Jobe, Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, the Chief Judge of Katsina State, the Grand Kadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal, senior judicial officers, members of the State Executive Council, local government chairmen, and families of the newly sworn-in Kadis.
